In detail: This coffee was ordered to form part of the December 2008 review of Kenyan coffees from Sydney-based roasters. Unfortunately, the coffee was inadvertently ordered pre-ground for espresso. Hence, this coffee has not been seriously reviewed and neither the coffee, nor the roaster will be identified.
Luca sampled this coffee briefly as espresso. Visually, the espresso was nearly indistinguishable from an espresso made with freshly ground coffee, but the taste was unacceptably bitter.
It is hoped that this review will act as a warning to double-check that you have selected the “whole bean” option when ordering online.
